Assam: Deep conspiracy to evict Hindus from Karimganj border area, alleged VHP

A deep conspiracy going on to evict Hindus living in India-Bangladesh border areas of Karimganj district, alleged Bajrang Dal. Regular Cow theft, movement of Bangladeshi cattle smugglers made the lives of Hindus a living hell. And now Vishva Hindu Parishad(VHP) is going to approach Chief minister Himanta Biswasarma on this issue.

Villagers of Gandhai Bramha Sashan and Pathu Surigram Gram Panchayet living near international borders areas are exhausted due to this. They say that regular cow theft and smuggling is the biggest issue. They are badly affected economically due to cow smuggling.

Some villagers said that during night time, cow smugglers roam freely. They take the cows to border by walking on fields. Due to this, their crops are damaged. Besides, smugglers are targeting cattles of the villagers.

They say that in this on going month more than 60 cows have been stolen. Most of the time of night, cow smuggling to Bangladesh happen. Although there is wired fencing in border, yet cow smugglers come and go freely.

Hindu villagers Ranjit Sharma, Rakhal Das, Bikash Goyala and Rantu Das said that our cows have been stolen. They also alleged that due to cow theft, now shortage of milk is there in the village. 

They said, ‘We are farmers. Due to cow smuggling, our crops are badly damaged. If this is going on, we'll be forced to sell our lands and move to another area.” “We approached BSF and narrated our problems, but they didn't listen to us”, they alleged. 

There is a police outpost in Madanpur. But only three policemen is there. So, they don't have the capacity to monitor the area and adjacent villages to curb the smuggling. 

And VHP is now planning to taking up the issue to Assam CM Himanta Biswasarma. VHP leaders alleged that some elements trying to evict the Hindus from the area. That's why all these are happening. If Hindus become economically weak, then they will be forced to sell their farm lands. This, in near future, the demography of the area will be changed. 

VHP demanded to increase numbers of police personnel in the outpost, more vigilance from BSF and more security measures to stop cow theft and cow smuggling.
