They said, ‘We are farmers. Due to cow smuggling, our crops are badly damaged. If this is going on, we'll be forced to sell our lands and move to another area.” “We approached BSF and narrated our problems, but they didn't listen to us”, they alleged.

There is a police outpost in Madanpur. But only three policemen is there. So, they don't have the capacity to monitor the area and adjacent villages to curb the smuggling.

And VHP is now planning to taking up the issue to Assam CM Himanta Biswasarma. VHP leaders alleged that some elements trying to evict the Hindus from the area. That's why all these are happening. If Hindus become economically weak, then they will be forced to sell their farm lands. This, in near future, the demography of the area will be changed.

VHP demanded to increase numbers of police personnel in the outpost, more vigilance from BSF and more security measures to stop cow theft and cow smuggling.
