Assam: On Duty doctor was in mosque for Namaz, patient Narayan Hajarika dies

Sad news coming in from Teok Town of Jorhat district of Assam. Where a patient died due to negligence of the doctor of a Govt. Hospital.

As per information, on Friday noon, Narayan Hajarika of Village Sonari Gaon suddenly got ill. Immediately family members took him to Teok FRU Hospital for treatment. But the doctor on duty Salauddin Ahmed was not in the hospital. Upon enquiring, they were informed that every Friday noon, doctor Salauddin Ahmed goes to a mosque in Kakjan area.

It is notable that Kakjan mosque is 4KM away from that Hospital. Hearing this, family members decided to take him to another Hospital, as he needed emergency treatment. They said that he had problems of high blood pressure. They arranged an ambulance and was going to Jorhat Medical College Hospital.

But on the way, Narayan Hajarika died. 

Family members alleged that Narayan died due to negligence of the doctor. As he was very ill and needed emergency treatment. But on duty doctor was not available for he went to mosque for Namaz. They demanded immediate action against the doctor.
