You may hear baseless allegations against RSS turning India into facist country, destroying India's old secular culture. But the ground reality is different. RSS reviving the India's glorious culture. You'll be astonished to know that all residents of a village of Assam speaks in Sanskrit due to the efforts of Sanskrit Bharati, a wing of RSS. And all this started in 2013.

Patiala is a village under Ratabari Assembly Constituency of Karimganj district of Assam. The village comprises as many as 60 families with 300 people. All the residents of the village including children communicate in Sanskrit. Thus, this is the only village of North-East, whose residents speak with eachother in Sanskrit.

But their ‘Sanskrit journey’ was started in 2013. Some of the villagers were in touch with RSS. With the help of RSS workers, they organised ‘Yoga camp’ in the village with an aim to teach Yoga to others. This continued for next two years. Later, in 2015, a team of Sanskrit Bharati workers went to the village to introduce them with Sanskrit language. Now, a Yoga camp runs everyday in the village from 5AM to 7AM.

And the response was wanderful. Villagers embraced Sanskrit very fast and also tried to communicate with eachother in it. Soon, all 300 residents of that village speaks in Sanskrit fluently.

Deep Nath, Yoga teacher of that village said, ‘In 2015, a Sanskrit learning camp was organised in our village and since then, we learnt to speak in Sanskrit.’

Now villagers are gearing up their efforts to introduce this ancient language to the next generation. Small childrens are regularly taught to communicate in Sanskrit and they are happy in success, said Deep Nath.
